Hi, I am Anne.

I am a spiritual seeker who loves simplicity and practicality. The question that is a common thread in my life is: "How can we live better?" My curiosity and life events led me to many books, courses in the health and wellness spectrum, and a lot of hours listening to and meeting interesting people. Through experimentation, trial and error, I developed my own toolkit that keeps me sane at least for now.

I am the author of  “I Didn’t Like My Life So I Changed It”, I paint, sculpt and create spaces, and I have a weekly newsletter. I am married to a lovely guy named Richard and together we have a son Olivier and a rescue dog Ollie. We live in Amsterdam though we both love the ocean and consider the beach or being on the boat our true home. Before working on the book and making art, I studied law and worked as a general counsel in the maritime logistics industry.

I believe that our only responsibility is to be ourselves, by dismantling the patterns and beliefs we unconsciously carry, so we can answer the bigger questions in life and allow what wants to emerge through us. We should not be afraid to start over, we are allowed to live multiple lives within one lifetime and we are allowed to feel good.

I don't do 10-year plans, but I do believe in intention, alignment, focus and aligned action every day. It starts with the small, often unseen things and decisions, the mundane. And by getting these right, the rest falls into place.

More about me

Before working on the book, I studied Law. I worked for over a decade as a legal & general counsel in the maritime logistics industry, a Human Design reader and a resort manager in the Caribs. I also studied art history for one year before realizing I'd rather make it myself and travelled the world. I studied Integrative Nutrition with IIN and Intuition with Sonia Choquette. My pastimes include cooking wholesome meals, doing intuitive readings, long nature walks with my family and dog, being on or in the water, playing board games and reading a good book by the fire.
